Learning project to make first steps in PHP (v4) and MySQL. The project was build from scratch without any knowledge about the existence of frameworks – or even MVC patterns. But was a good project to learn the full round-trip of web application development with all its layers. Of course including making all the classic mistakes.

We used this platform quite intensively until May 2010, when more well known platforms gained traction, like StudiVZ and later facebook. In the end we had more than 200 registered users and roughly 40 active users per day. All of this in a pre smartphone era.
